figuring out my interior
figuring out my interior
I discussed this on some past threads, but now I have pictures!
I'm trying to figure out the interior on my '71 cutlass supreme 'vert. From previous threads, I have discovered that my car was built in late July of '71 and that might explain why I seem to have stock '72 cutlass interior. The only thing that I can figure is that the original owner did not like pearl and wanted white, which was not offered (as far as I can tell) as an optional interior color in '71. The original window sticker (which I have) even lists the interior color as white not pearl.
The door panels are also white with the wood grain from a '72. So is the wood grain on the dash inserts. However, the seats appear to be in the style of a '71, but are white not pearl.
I guess what I am asking is...Was this common? I've never heard of a car from one year having stock interior from another year.
