Fan shroud
Fan shroud
In another thread I asked several questions concerning dual electric cooling fans. If I decide to go with original stuff, what shroud will fit my 74 Omega, and will a big block chevy 5-bladed fan have the same bolt pattern? Thanks in advance. The Omega currently has a original 350 in it. And I just want to say thanks for all the quick responses my questions here generate. It's much appreciated.

I'm not sure I understand this. My Cutlass has a 4 blade without the fan clutch. Are you suggesting that I'd get that I'd see a hughe hp jump just by changing the fan arrangement? I don't get it. Can you explain? thx
Car Craft did a 'Dyno test' on fans, a few years back, when the exploding flex fans came out.
Showed a direct-driven fan, [any] takes big H.P. to turn, compared to a properly functioning stock clutch fan!
And a shroud makes a huge difference!

thx for the heads up. I was planning to install both next summer so your info took me quite by surprise. I didn't realize dd fan took that much power. Is this a similar concept to the amount of hp needed for an airplane propeller in terms of hp? Do you still have the link to the website or know where I can find it?
