Factory Stock Cutlass

Trying to find out if anybody in this forum might have a photograph of a white1968 Cutlass racing Factory stock sponsored by Tomsic Olds. His name would have been painted on the side of the car in large Old English lettering and was driven by Mike Tomlinson and wrenched by my dad Emory Jones during 68-70 near coraopolis PA

Tomsic Olds

Actually it sounds like no such thing. I was 12 and 13 (1969/70) and he never gave me any photos at the time. I lost touch with my father after graduating so I have no way of getting a photo of it. But thank you for your response even if it was a knee jerk one.

Boy Tomsic Olds drag car sounds vaguely familiar. Hopefully someone can come up with an old photo. Good luck with your search. I swear that name sounds familiar. I will look thru my car files when I get a chance.

I can't say I've seen any pics before, but I'll keep my eyes open. Sounds like a neat history. Welcome to the site!

Just showed up on the W-31 owners FB group. I’m from Canonsburg.

Yep, this is it. Someone posted these in a reply to me on a NHRA FB Page. This was likely at Keystone, I was 12 or 13 at the time. Thats my dad on the right. Strangely since my initial inquiry I have actually been hearing that this car may still exist.

1969 W-31 f85. My dad was a general sales manager for Olds at the time and likely either cut a deal with the dealership or twisted their arm to get them to sponsor them with the car.

That was probably the old Pittsburgh International Dragway , close to Heidelberg, the track was still in place from pictures a few years ago, but was closed around April 1976, Would have been the closest one to Coraopolis, Tim

Hi Tim - that’s not hilly enough to be PID! ; ) I think it was noted that it’s at Keystone in New Alexandria, which is what I figured. We just bought my wife’s grandparents’ house in Heidelberg proper, so I’m very familiar with the area.
