check this out my friend had a motor sittn in his garage for years and i never even looked at it, hes not a olds guy so he didnt know what he had and i never cared 2 check, we were BS'n 2night and i asked what block he had in it now and he said a 70 w30 he bought on ebay for 2700 3-4 years ago, i said let me see and sure enough it has F heads and its a 396021f, he was shocked when i told him how much it was worth BLOWN BACK SHOCKED!!!! he said when he bought it the seller didnt want 2 sell it for that price but he didnt put a reserve on it and it was allready paid 4, he argued and argued and the guy sent it, he said it sat in teh back yard for 6 months than sat in the garage till he took out his race motor and put it in, what do you guys think its worth he said its bone stock crank/rods,pistons but the intake is gone it has a edelbrock now

check out the paint i painted it 4 years ago kandy blue with a dark blue/purple shimern base he wanted it dark kandy so i didnt use a silver or gold base, he put a cheap all fiberglass hood on it and it blew off on the free way it didnt hit the car tho flew right over it

 

Last I checked F heads don't fit GM LS blocks.

 

are you sure its not a cut up e head the lower corner looks funny to me but it is just a picture ?

and I was wasted and the room was dark and the dog bumped me when i pushed it and hope they are for your sake can a w-30 guru gve the numbers they should read in fine print. Or mabe you know that already?

 

We need brian trick. Where is he at this morning. He is gonna have to pull the heads to see the numbers to know for sure.

 

If F heads, the casting number should be,404438, Es are 403686

 

they look ok to me, ususally if someone takes the stroke off the E you see either a flat spot or they try to add texture and it just doesn't look right - no need to take them off should be 404438
