Exhaust System Recommendations

My friend will be installing an Oldsmobile 455 big block with "C" heads into a 1976 Pontiac Firebird. He has an engine without exhaust manifolds or headers now. He will be using a Holley Sniper fuel injection system so he will be adding an oxygen sensor to the system. He is looking for a low cost system. What would every one recommend for this application, headers or cast iron manifolds? Can you give brands and part numbers?

Thanks,
Noel

I just installed this setup for $300. I put it on in thirty minutes and with the car on the ground. I can't imagine a better option. Muffler sounds great to me. I did weld the original tips and hangers onto the outlet pipes. Check summit reviews for more info.

As far as headers or manifolds, I am stuck in the same boat. I also posted similar question here if you search my profile. I currently am running 403 manifolds on 455 with homemade downpipes. The Pypes brand downpipes from a Cutlass supposedly will fit (2.5"). Although 455 headers made for a 76ish Cutlass might work too I've heard. All depends if you want to deal with low clearances and the heat from headers too. Good luck!
