Engine coolant .
Engine coolant .
403 oldsmobile engine....
Is there a particular type/brand I should be using ????
My car is almost ready to hit the streets again,, yeah I know 5 months to get the bumpers, all the light bezals and grill surrounds re-chromed, nearly there just waiting on the lower part of the rear bumper......
Plan on fresh oil this weekend and flushing out the old coolant and putting in new just for my piece of mind

Ethylene glycol is the regular old antifreeze that these cars came with.
Propylene glycol is the newer antifreeze (usually orange, I believe), that is used in many newer cars.
Either will work fine, but I believe it is recommended to give a good flush with plain water if switching between the two.
Never heard the term "hypo glycerin."

i do not like the 100,000 mile orange antifreeze and drain it and replace it with the green on my cars... i may be paranoid but i think there is something in it that eats gaskets and causes corrosion over time which leads to keeping garages in business, i have rarely had any problems with the green...just a thought
