my casting number on my engine read 557752-3B. does the B mean b body line? thank you for anybody who can help me.

 

Again, you don't need to ask the same question twice, particularly in the same forum. And as I noted before, you cannot tell the car line from the block casting number. The 3B is just part of the casting number. One more time - this is a 1977-1980 Olds 350 block. You can tell the exact year from the VIN deriviative stamped on the side of the block below the #1 exhaust port. Unless you can somehow trace the VIN derivative to a car (don't hold your breath) you cannot tell the exact type of car it came out of. Why do you care, anyway?
