Enclosed Trailer Car Transporter needed.

Good Evening all.
I am in need of a bonded and insured car Private Transporter or Co. That can transport my 1972 Oldsmobile from Downingtown PA to Bidderford Maine. Delivery to Maine would be Sept.11-14-2022, preferably the 13th. I am trying to find a transporter back down after Sept.28th. but checking with a Car museum to see if they have anyone local that they use. Thanks in advance !

Tony.

Just to let people know this is a show car and the paint can't be replicated, Sadly, but that is a long story. But the big car carriers determine the date and I have a very small delivery window. due to the storage location and our arrival. Same heading back.

Reliable and Intercity are the 2 main players. Of course, you may find someone with an enclosed trailer cheaper, but they probably won't meet your insurance requirements.

years ago I used UShip to get my 70 from Detroit down to Memphis. If I recall you set up an account and then input your needs (dates, trailer type etc) and independent guys bid on it. I think they are all insured. Anyhow, It worked for me and I had no problems, but your mileage may vary.

I just hipped my 72 Cutlass Convertible from Missouri to Florida. I used Hillbilly Transport and they did a great job. Cost was $1200.

*chuckling*

I thought the same thing when he said UShip. That shows gives legitimate haulers a bad rep.

I have but only briefly. At the time I had the car, spare engine and transmission, and set of wheel and tires shipped. It was 800 ish miles and about 750 bucks. I had no complaints with the driver or the process. He showed up for the pick up and drop off when he said, and there was a gps tracker on the website that I could follow him with.
