Electrical temp and oil gauges

What are you guys using for add on gauges? I have idiot lights now in the 72. I want to avoid hot oil in the inside of the car. Google search has been fruitless. Most gauges are mechanical that I have found.

Thanks. Matt

Every major gauge vendor offers both mechanical and electrical versions of their oil pressure and water temp gauges. I prefer Stewart Warner, but Autometer is fine also.

Try VDO, I haven't used them myself but have installed for friends. They like them, I still prefer mechanical.

Classic Instruments makes some really nice gauges, very accurate and in many different styles from old timey to traditional.

I'm with Joe... SW old skool backlit black n white gages with chrome bezel. Mechanicals, at least for the oil & temp. I have a set that's goin on 35 years without failure.

I bought SunPro electric. I don't care for Bowden and hard line oil pressure tubes. I routed them with the existing harness and used that corrugated plastic sleeving to keep it neat. I bough a kit of that plastoc stuff from JEGS for $25 and it had 20-50 feet of the stuff in three -four sizes.

That certainly is a valid point Tim regarding the hard lines(oil). Ive seen them break...mostly the plastic lines. Copper is how I do it with vibration relief loops etc. They break too if not installed correctly and or abused. The electric(s) eliminates that worry for sure.
