Electrical

I sure hope you guys are not getting sick of me, but I need to talk to someone about an electrical issue. In a nut shell, the battery sparks when I try to connect it. Poss first, the neg, big spark. I disconnected everything one at a time. I even unscrewed the fuse block from the fire wall. The only thing that was connected was the starter. I even disconnected the purple to the "S" Terminal.
I am stumped. I need a real trouble shooter.

Thank you in advance. So close to fire her up.

You may have pinched or the battery cable to the starter is touching ground.

I was wondering about that. I had the starter rebuilt and I was wondering if they screwed something up.

This is where being systematic come in: You have to keep reducing the system and isolating the parts until you find the one that's bad.

You're nearly there.

That's what I thought.
I disconnected everything, I mean everything. I separated the fuse box from the firewall. The only thing was the starter wire. Brand new, 1 gauge, heat shrieked on both ends. If it was grounding out, when I connected the poss, that wire to the battery, it should spark.
