Edelbrock VRS Holley

I was in need for a new carb last summer on my stock 69 350. I went to change the fuel filter on the factory rochester quadrajet & the fuel filter casing striped So i went down to the local performance shop & was set on buying a new Edelbrock till the owner of the shop says he sells 9 holleys to 1 edelbrock, & talks me into the holley. After running this carb for about 7months, i think i dont like it. It performs well but i think what i miss most of all is the 4 barrel sound that the rochester quadrajet makes. Ive had edelbrocks before & they sound close.

Just wanted to get some opinions on what everybody else likes Edelbrocks or Holleys & why

Or, you could just get one of these to repair your Qjet:
