Ebay radiator

This is the radiator I have used for years without any problems.
No, they aren't OEM or factory, they look good and work good.
If someone pays over $500 for another brand they just have money to burn.

I just ordered another one today!

Im not running electric fans this time but as good as these cool you can run what you want. Im going to run a simple 6 blade after market flex fan.

Which brackets do you have?

Was your car(s) a four core radiator? Did you have to swap the saddles on the core support and top plate for the aluminum radiator to fit right?
Thanks
Tom

I'm using one from Northern Products from ebay, cheap and works great. I'm also using their alum shroud with dual Spal fans. Killer set up.

I agree, some of the big name radiators seem overpriced.

Interesting that it shows it fits both the '68-'70 and the '71-up Olds engines, yet the radiator hose and radiator outlet are different sizes between the '68-'70 and the '71-up Olds engines.

So what size is the outlet hose nipple? 1.75" for the early engines or 1.5" for the later engines?

Do you have a link to both the radiator and the fans?

Go to their store for other options. Make sure you get one with auto trans cooler, if needed.

Alex I got the same radiator that Mr.Nick has, make sure you order the wiring harness from them, they will cut the cost of shipping.

Here is the pic of the radiator I ordered,
.
Its not for the original crowd but more for people who like to upgrade and modify their hotrod.
The top hole is 1.5 inches, the bottom is, 1.58 inches.
Its 33 1/4 wide and 18.5 tall.
Its fits the radiator support and the top plate fits.

That polished finish is nice!

I like how you can see the aluminum radiator behind by black grills.

I bought one of those! Didn't even get to start the engine it leaked all over the garage floor!
I'm in the process of getting a refund and I will then buy a becool radiator.

Nick I was very impressed when I got it,it looked great! Two huge 13" Spal fans I was really impressed.

Then I filled it up with antifreeze got half a gallon in and it was pouring out of the left lower corner. A leak like this,I doubt this radiator was ever tested! Anyways took it out because it's still under warranty and I'm waiting to hear back from them. I'd like a refund but gotta wait and see what they say.

I kind of lost all faith in them as far as their product goes,it was supposed to cool my new BTR built engine but I just can't risk it!

No worries Nick not your fault, back to the drawing board I guess..

So how did you adapt the lower hose to the smaller diameter radiator fitting?

It was from universal parts inc. I got the lower radiator hose on by using a silicone band that came with a universal radiator hose. Slipped it over the radiator fitting and the hose over that.

Looking into a new radiator.... Now that summer is almost over, I wonder what you guys think about your units? It looks like they fit in well, how did they hold up in the heat?

Mine is still fine. Put about 2,000 miles on the car this summer, 600 or so where on the Power Tour. Zero cooling issues with for me. 425hp 350 with dual electric fans.

170 T-stat, runs 175ish on the highway and cycles between 190-175 at idle as the fan turns on and off.
