Dyno Day!!!

Very happy with the results today. It is 510 torque and 427 HP. He said this is real world and not inflated with dyno tricks. I had to leave it there and I will pick it up Saturday. He is going to limit the mechanical advance. It wants a little more initial advance and it puts the total farther out than he is comfortable with. He said the carb settings are real nice. It is just a little fat on top but nothing to worry about. At least it is not leaning out on top. My vacuum is at 13 inches with the initial timing set where he wants it so power brakes will be just fine.

I must say a big thanks to Mark, aka cultassefi. I told him I wanted a good reliable engine with A/C and power brakes but would like to make it to 500 torque with 10:1 compression. It hit 508 with a good idle vacuum so I think he nailed it. Has 9.8 compression. Also a big thank you to Greg from Sparky's carburetors joesw-31 and Brian Trick for there help and input. The knowledge here on CO is incredible.

X2 Joe! I forgot to put that at the top. I am adding it there now.

Joe, After we talked on the phone i remembered the idle was at 900 with the 13 inch vacuum. when we had the initial timing where he wanted it. It was at 1100 but moving the timing cut the idle back 200 rpm and sounded much better. After the distributor is finished he will pull it a couple more times.
