Driver side sitting 1" lower?
Driver side sitting 1" lower?
I replaced all 4 coil springs on my 76 Cutlass. After driving 40 miles or so I noticed the passenger front sits 1" higher than the driver side. Springs are seated correctly, shocks are new, and I only weigh 165lbs. You see where I'm going with this. Could it be the stabilizer end links, LCA bolts loose? I swore the front was even when I finished the install. Any ideas, Thanks!
If you have factory style rubber control arm bushings, you MUST have the weight of the vehicle loading the springs before you tighten the bolts completely. The rubber in the bushings can move only so far after the bolts are tightened, so if the vehicle was supported by the frame and the wheels were dangling freely, that could be why one side is now higher than the other.
