They are great cars.
In 1978, my in laws' neighbor had a 1968 GT500 fastback for sale. It was all black, and had 40,000 miles. One owner and MINT.
He wanted to sell it to me for $4,800.
I was building a house and had no space or money....

Don't remember ever seeing a bright yellow one, though in context of its times it looks normal.
To me a car like that looks its best in reasonably understated colors. They really look good in Acapulco Blue or Lime Gold. Gulfstream Aqua is nice too with white striping.
