Question Does anyone else have a washer pump like this?

I got a replacement but it doesn't match up. This is on my '70 Cutlass.
The one I got only has one plus (to the left in the pic) but mine has the wires on the right as well. Can I get a replacement anyplace?

I've been wrong before, but I'm pretty sure the wires to the right go to the wiper motor, not the washer pump.

You would be correct. When you remove the pump from the motor, the connector on the right remains with the motor.

That is a completely normal looking washer pump, as used an essentially every GM car for about 20 years.

As Joe says, perhaps you are confusing the wiper motor for the pump.

So, my first response would be, "Sounds like you've already got a replacement."
Photos of the replacement might help us to be sure.

Well, it didn't get lost, since you've posted a picture of it.

As for not working, its connected to the tubing, but not to the wiring, and the replacement pump near the reservoir is pumping fluid through the original pump to the nozzles.

You could fix it if you wanted to (it's usually just bad valve diaphragms), but if what you've got works, there's really no need to.

Hi Eric, hmmmm.. I can't tell if it works because I have no idea so far how to start it. The former owner placed a new switch for the wipers, but not for the washer and the **** I presumed to be the correct one does not have any effect on nothing.... I first will have to get closer in it...

Normally, you just press inward on the wiper switch, or there's a separate button next to the wiper switch (or right in the middle on earlier models).

If your car has been changed, then anything is possible.

The 2 wire plug operates a coil that ingages the pump mechanism. The motor for wipers runs through the 3 wire plug. If the pump mechanism is still in there, (under the plastic cover held on by a c-clip), you can get a rebuild kit from fusick.
