What parts did you replace?
Did you install a combination valve in place of the distribution block?
Did you use factory parts from a donor vehicle or new aftermarket stuff?

Do you have access to a pressure gage? Check front pressures versus rear. Also, did the kit come with the master cylinder? You may need to change to a smaller diameter master to get better pressure.

Might be able to get pressure gauge kit I bought cane with everything just wondering about pin length from the booster to the master it came with the short pin in the booster and the “bullet” for the master but I’m wondering if it should have the longer pin there were no instructions on what to use

The petal doesn’t go to the floor but I can’t get my other foot under it when it’s down - kind of scary if you don’t expect it !

Either you still have air in the system (the most likely cause) or you have a mis-adjusted pushrod either between the booster and M/C or between the booster and the pedal. The brake system is not complex. There aren't a lot of other potential causes here.

Ya I know it shouldn’t have to be that hard I’ve done many brake jobs this one keeps kicking my butt I’ll probably try another round of bleeding

Are you running the small booster? If yes, there has been many discussions on the dramatic difference in braking power with it.

I did the same upgrade on my 1972. The proportioning valve gave me fits when trying to bleed the rear brake. You have to ensure that the valve piston is centered between the front and back brakes during the bleeding process. You should remove the switch at the top and visually inspect the valve piston to ensure it's centered and center it if it is not. I used a small pick to move the valve piston to center and then the bleeding was successful. I also purchased a bleeding "tool" that held the piston steady during the bleed. You can get one here:

Hope this helps -

I had some trouble with that in the beginning but I’m pretty sure that if fine I tested it with a test light to check and make sure it wasn’t pushed to one end so hopefully I can just get it by more rounds of bleeding!
