difference in Vista cowl compared to Cutlass?
is the Vista firewall, cowl and dash area the same as a cutlass? i now know the windshield trim is different so i am wondering where the change starts. i figure it is in the A pillars and roof but i don't know. i have a rust free dash, cowl and firewall from a Vista and wondering if it will work on a Cutlass.

Pretty sure it is in the angle of the A pillars & roof height at the top of the windshield. I know the coupe, 4 door/vista, & convertible are all different windshields & my theory would explain that.

A 69' A Body cowl, dash, etc., is also the same as 70' model A Body. Ever wonder why there is a hole wth a rubber plug in it on the RH side of the cowl air box mid point up the side on all 70' A Body cowl?
It was for the radio antenna on 69' A Bodies!
All the stamping dies for 70' A body, cowl, floor pan back to rear of the trunk, and the underside of the trunk lid are from the 69' dies. The trunk lid support and cover dies are modified because the tailights are now in the bumper.

Many years ago I tried to use a Vista Cruiser windshield in a Cutlass Supreme. If I remember right the bottom of the glass didn't' fit on the ends, the glass had a slightly different curve. That was over 25 years ago... so my memory may be foggy but I would test it with a windshield from a Cutlass before saying for sure.
