My oldest friend Craig came up from Virginia over the weekend with his 69 Cutlass rearend for me to set up for him. I'm so lucky! LOL!! He has a rallye red '70 W31/auto & the '69 Cutlass that he picked up 3 yrs ago. I usually go to his place to help him but with our crazy work schedule this year I'm not able to go, so I told him just throw it in the back of your F150 & bring it to me & I'll do it at my house( in between drinking beer of course). We're building this '69 as a W31 clone. It's a Canadian car so it won't fool anyone but since it came with the Chevy 12 bolt in it, it's so much easier to get parts. He bought all new guts for it. We went with 3.55 gears & an Eaton posi. He even bought the complete new rear brake kits from Inline. It turned out very nice. The Cutlass is in pretty good shape, it was well maintained with one repaint. We're changing it to a 4 spd. He's spent a ton of $$$ on it already, the body's off the frame waiting to get into the bodyshop. H
e knows he'll NEVER recover the cost of restoring the car but he's always wanted a W31 4spd! Can't blame him for that!!
