Dehumidifiers, Anybody Else Use them?
Does anybody use dehumidifiers in their car? I find that living near the coast that we have high humidity and that they really work in absorbing moisture. I'm thinking that less moisture inside the car must be a good thing. I also have one in the trunk as well. You can buy rechargeable ones. By rechargeable I mean that when the absorption crystals become full of water they change color. So you just plug the unit into the wall electric socket and the unit dries them out, ready for reuse.

ralsy, I changed the title of your thread. I'm guessing you began to discuss notched valve covers but changed your mind? I believe you've got to be a moderator to change the title so that's what I did.

Can't say I've seen the dessicants that rejuvinate by plugging them in to 117vac, but sounds like a good idea. Know many boater's use the basic absorbers in a cardboard box, they just toss every season. Actually, many also recommend putting these in cars during storage, like you're doing. Another trick I saw when storing tools in the cars trunk, is wrapping them in oil soaked shipping paper, before putting them in the tool box.

I had a shark about 9 ft come up and give me the evil eye once. Was within arms reach of my board. I could see its evil eye checking me out. I must have not been to its liking as it just swam away. We see lots of dolphins and turtels but thank god not to many sharks. They say that for every shark you see in the water while surfing there are 100 that have already seen you.
