DC-area driving tour Nov 7

The Capitol City Rockets is having a driving tour on Sunday November 7, so Washington DC area Olds fans should dust off that classic Olds for one more road trip before winter. We'll meet in the parking lot of the Harry Grove Stadium in Frederick, MD at 9:00 in the morning, drive up Rt. 15 to Gettysburg where we'll tour the Eisenhower Farm National Historic Site, then cruise back to Emmitsburg for lunch at Chubby's BBQ. We may tour some nearby covered bridges as well. There are a number of antique malls and stores in Emmitsburg if you wish to extend your afternoon and walk off lunch. Details, directions, and maps are available at the updated CCR website here:

Click on the "driving tour" link at the very top of the page or go to the events page and click on "details here" at the bottom. If you're intend to go, please email me as I'd like to give a headcount to the restaurant. Thanks and hope to see you there. Feel free to email or PM me with any questions.

Just a reminder. The tour is this coming Sunday, Nov 7. In addition to the Eisenhower farm and BBQ lunch, we will be driving though a few covered bridges near Thurmont, MD on the way home. If you are planning to participate, remember that Sunday is the end of daylight savings.

Sorry I will not be able to make that event.
Back in the 1990s I use to belong to that Chapter.
