Daily Driver has the blues

I spent about an hour cleaning and vacuuming the interior, and basically giving Spycie some TLC. Then I looked over and saw my poor, neglected, grubby LaCrosse. It doesn't even have a name

How do you guys and gals with multiple cars find enough love to go around?

There's not enough time during show season. My house also gets neglected. Tincanio (my 2007 Rav4 daily driver) gets sooo jealous of Teepo since she gets all the attention in the summer.

This summer, Tincanio has been cleaned once, lol. I hand washed her and gave her a coat of wax and detailed all the trim, but that was back in May. Since then, she's been vacumed out a couple times and the interior wiped down, but that's about it. If I'm desperate, I take her through the car wash. I'm hoping to get her cleaned good and another coat of wax on before the snow flies. I do like to take her to the car wash before and during winter and spray the underneath good with the wax. I think it helps protect some against the elements of winter. As for my house cleaning..... I'm usually at cruise in's 2 - 3 nights a week, so I save it for the nights I'm home, or when it's raining, lol. That is, if Teepo is already clean. If she isn't then the house work just has to wait! The dirt isn't gonna go anywhere.... it will still be there when I get around to it, lol.

Make time! I spend roughly 2hrs per week just cleaning and waxing all vehicles, 5-6 hours at the gym per week and lawn gets mowed and the other honeydew list get done plus somewhere I stuff in over 50hrs at my dealership. This means that you are constantly moving! Yes still have time to do this and chat with friends, sometimes not enough time for everybody and everything.

The main problem is procrastination, do it now and get it done and move on to the next thing, people let things build up then it gets to be too much!

Question for you Sandy, how many shows do you do a year? I do one a month, bored just sitting there.

Hi Pat! Come on down, lol!! I've been to 17 shows so far this season, and I missed several in June when I was having those kidney procedures done. There are soooo many of them around here. Quite a few in Cleveland and the suburbs there, but I don't go that way. As the season is slowing down, there are 2 - 3 shows scheduled on the same days. I hate deciding which one to go to! If they time them right, I go right from one to another. But that's only happened once this season. There are 4 shows I'm planning on going to in Sept. I also go to cruise in's on Wednesday's and Thursday's and sometimes Monday's. I go to as many of each as I possibly can, lol!

Enough "love" to go around? Not in this house. I had to replace a power steering hose that cost $170 just for the part on my 2006 Honda Accord last week...all that car got was a lot of curse words and the blame for taking parts money away from the Cutlasses.

Hell, even the two Cutlasses don't get the same love, my heart belongs to the Silver car even though the vert is the nicer of the two. lol! But they are both taken care of, unlike the DD Honda that get's the oil changed usually 1,000 to 1,500 miles after it's due. I hate that car. Sheesh! Love, haha!

I swear Redog and Dexy are jealous of each other. One time Redog's overflow tank broke, and I used Dexy to pick up a new one, then Dexy wouldn't start. Pop the hood to see the choke plate shut

Redog doesn't seem to mind that I take Dex to the junkyard to get parts

I have 4 cars that I find time to take care off and keep clean. The only maintenance I have had to do on my 71 cutlass recently is car washes and an occasional polish and wax. I used to drive it a lot and had to clean the engine compartment frequently. Right now I am working on my 70 cutlass supreme to get it streetable so I can get it on the road sometime soon. It will be driven occasionally and raced at the dragstrip. On my daily driver I havent really done much to it recently other than car washes and oil changes.
