Daily driver?

The 400 engine needs premium gasoline, the TH400 transmission has no overdrive, so I get about 8 mpg. But I will continue to drive it daily anyway. I have a little break on fuel because as a retired "awl bidness" employee I get a 10% discount on Exxon and Mobil gasoline. It helps.
As for maintenance, I sort of nursed the car carefully when I first bought it. Never strayed more than about 25 miles from home in it. But as I fixed, replaced, overhauled, etc. those items needed to keep it roadworthy, I began to think of it as just as reliable as a newer car. so I drive it on trips up to about 100 miles away now. I truly believe the more it's driven the more confident you get in it's reliability. I have owned 2 other 69 Cutlasses years ago, and they were more reliable than average back then.

I use mine as a regular vehicle. I'm in college, so i'm not driving it everyday, but through high school it was.
The idea of a 200R4 is getting better everyday, with rising gas prices and the performance-killing slug that is the ST300 bolted to my engine.

I use mines as a daily driver, but luckily I only drive 3 miles to work so it's no big deal. I also have driven down to Va Beach a couple of times and to Charlestown West VA. No problems at either place
