In the 70s, when i was a teenager, i bought a 4 door Cutlass, it was 2-tone white & mint green and had SOD written on the side by the window column on both sides. To this day, I have not been able to find out what SOD stood for. The reason I remember it so distinctly is because my friends would tease me about pullin up in the Special-O-dition. Does anybody know, i have googled endlelssly w/no success?

It was mint, because I remember I had a joggin suit (popular back in the day) that had a mint green logo and the chicks would say, check him out, even his threads match the limo

 

It's possible a regional factory special edition car. They had such 3 letter names under Y76 option code for specific regions.

Those were only on two doors. Never heard of it on a four door. Not saying a dealer didn't come up with their own package.

OP, what area of the country are you from, or where were you living when you had this car?
Might help us figure out what SOD was.
