Cruise Control Regulators
Cruise Control Regulators
Does anyone have documentation of which cruise regulators went with each year of cars? You see a lot of different part numbers on these Dana Corporation regulations but they all look essentially the same in appearance. My 72 W30 came with cruise and still has its original regulator on it part number 409597. I am hoping someone can shed some light here. Can a regulator from a different year work on another? Thanks for any insight. Al
Thanks for your reply. I have the factory regulator but it is a bit worn and older. The transducer was used in other years. In 70-72 GM used and called it a regulator. If I come across a cherry one I would be interested in buying it. My regulator part number is 409597. I am curious though if other regulators in that area are useable. The Dana Corp regulators all look the same but have different part number and sticker colors. ???
70 to 72 uses either a 2 terminal or a 3 terminal cruise transducer. A-1 Cardone has re-manufactured ones available. Rock Auto sells them. 1972 is more then likely a 3 terminal, Cardone # 36102. Number 36101 is for the 2 terminal. Bought one from Rock Auto 6 years ago, still working fine.
