Coolant reservoir option code

Was the coolant reservoir on a '72 Supreme a separate option code, or was it part of the Y72 option package?

The reservoir was included with RPO Y72 and not separately available. The 1972 PIM shows this in Section 11, Page 25 and again on Page 180.

I will add that the coolant reservoir package was also available as a dealer-installed item and the kit (with mounting bracket) could be bought from the parts counter under P/N 981766 for $10.20. Only the Y72 cars got it from the factory, however.

Curious, was this part of the Y72 option for '71? My '71 VC with the 455 has it, and it looks original. It was a mid June build car if that matters.

I don't have a 1971 PIM handy to check, but the parts book shows it applicable to both 71 and 72 with HD cooling.
