I like the first red one with the grid grill, and the last two red ones.

Its hard to say, but easy to imagine their influence on design. I like them.

They have a lot more style than today. Its a shame it didn't last long.

To borrow from something I read here today, new cars have a style not much better than a washing machine.

Tedd:

My choices would be in this order:
The 3rd one in the second group and I believe this is a Cadillac
The 5th one in the first group and I believe it is a Chrysler by Ghia
An of course the 5th one in the second group which is a 54 Olds

This is what made cars great. Just an imagination, an artist and a pencil and paper.
Then a clay sculpture. Then the engineers made it work.

Unforchantly all but a few were crushed by their manufacturers in the fifties and I'm not sure why but that practice continues even today.

Some how when I posted this from a email the make and models labels didn't show up on this site , it was interesting to see and compare what concepts were kept and what was forgotten or rejected by the manufacturer as time passed...Tedd

Cars are still designed the same way today, on paper then clay, then make it work.

A reason for crushing concepts is to both keep your ideas out of the hands of your competitors, and to avoid liability if someone were to be hurt driving one. A concept car is not fully tested, and could fail dangerously.
