It's the Antique Pewter. Light makes it change. That's what is so cool about it.

Given that it's a repaint, there's no way to know exactly what color it is.

thx guys, I have a sample of antique pewter, haven't sprayed it, but it just seems too dark. 2nd time i've been told antique, so i'm gonna have to go along with that - i'll spray some out and clear coat it. thx

As I said, the car in the photo is repaint, so there's no way to know whether that is Antique Pewter or something else.

I like to mention that what ever color that is, it can look different over various colors of primer. Metallic colors can change dramatically in different lighting due to penetration.

Metallics will also change dramatically depending on application technique, which effects how the metallics lay down. Engine paints are the classic example of that.

Assuming it is a code of a factory color, it's much closer to 14 Silver Pewter than 18 Antique Pewter of the 1972 Color Codes for Olds.

Recommend you get a little bottle of each and paint a few things and see which you like.

I did get a bottle of each and used multiple primer colors as directed by Napa - still didnt get the desired color i was looking for - Finally went through the color swatches at

Napa and came up with the following shown in the pic - the light is the silver pewter (too light) and antique not shown, way too dark

i think the color i found looks pretty good and will look nice with black stripping - a may even use antique pewter and paint my stripes -
