A car that you own and keep but do not use for daily transportation. You can collect cars the way you collect coins or stamps. To look at and enjoy, but not to spend or stick on envelopes. In the case of a collector car, you even get to drive it around. But the point is to preserve it, not use it up until it wears out and then eventually discard it.
