We're in NA12-13, NB 14-15, across from the bathrooms by Gate 3. Be there Tues afternoon through Sat evening. Weather should be phenomenal for a change. Feel free to come by and sit for a while or even drop purchases temporarily.
I will be at Carlise on Friday. Although I go to Hershey every year, this is the fist year I will be entering a car. The Toro will be on the show field on Saturday.
I am resting my eyes and my van, on the way down to Fall Carlisle right now --- 1:17 A.M. and, I just passed from New Jersey to Pennsylvania ... 120 ish miles to go....
Rule of thumb is: Carlisle is 1950 s and 1960 s and Newer....
HERSHEY is 1950s and 1960 s and Older.....
I am in I L 78 - 80 at Fall Carlisle, middle of the ( I ) infield, row I L , spots 78 - 80....
I am in R C C 74 - 76 at HERSHEY, not on the end of the aisle as in the past 20 years, they have done construction, so I am 18 spots to the left of where I was... RED Field, between Chocolate World and the old HERSHEY Stadium..
I have a beautiful spread of Oldsmobile parts, including some Original G M, some Original DELCO, and some Original A C......stop on by......
And Joe P. --- I have your Bushings, of course, I will see you when you can roam....
Safe travel everyone ---- and as Johnny used to say, " COME ON DOWN "..... Yours, Craig....
Gonna try to do Hershey for a couple of days. Can anyone recommend a decent place to stay with a good entrance/exit to the fairgrounds for a one night stay ?
Figures with the best weather forecast in years we decided to wait this one out and hope the plague dies back or is better controlled for Spring Carlisle. I'm told that even though Fall Charlotte happened, it was about half its normal size.
Let's hope Loaded's W34 wows the AACA judges and that they'll realise they finally have a benchmark 1stGen Toronado to go by. I still wonder how a certain red 66 ever got an AACA Junior 1st, much less moved on to Seniors. There is SO much about that car that is not "as produced".
Well, you showed her someone asking $120k, anyway....
I looked at that car. Stevie Wonder stripes, brand new repro red inner fenders, etc. If you missed it at Carlisle, it will still be for sale next week at Hershey.

The mention of Centerforce clutch gave it away for me. Might even have E3 spark plugs, too.
So more vendors on site today. More people roaming the aisles. Few people actually buying anything. Sadly a lot like prior years.
Definitely a crowd of old, white males. Even older than gunshows, which are seeing a influx of youngsters buying old milsurps due to the Call of Duty video games. Its been talked about a bunch, whether the interest will be there as the boomers die off. Would be interested in knowing if the weekend crowd is younger. Or are they going to the import shows.
Just got back, nice day, I would say 65 to 75% full of vendors, The hill and horseshoe was empty and not a great amount of cars for sale either. Even scarcer were the Oldsmobile vendors, some regulars did not show. SO I picked up a few odds and ends, nothing to brag about but still fun to hunt.
I have to say that I've found some great deals so far. A pair of 1969 VA plates for $20. New 2328 motor mounts for $1 ea. A box of over 200 clecos with pliers for $45. Hurst Pro-Matic 2 shifter for $17. A Sartorius paint mixing scale for $50. Air filter elements for my 62. Smokin' deal on a case of Pypes 2.5" trumpets. Quite a few tools and supplies. And the weekend isn't over.
Got back from Carlisle a few hours ago. Seemed like a good turn out, not as many vendors as the spring, but it felt like there was more people walking the aisle compared to last spring. I was able to pick up a few parts i needed for the buick. Many thanks to @joe_padavano for letting me stash some of my purchases at his spot while i continued to walk. Weather was awesome! Came across a few Olds in the car corral. On to Hershey next week.
He had a decent folder of pictures and documents. Didn’t look close but he had a build sheets, saw the W-30.
He built it himself, just finished recently. Had pictures of several other cars he’s done. I got a good vibe from him, From New England area iirc.

thats good to hear.
These asking, and selling prices on trucks and suv’s are insane. Saw this one yesterday. Only 2.5x what I paid for my Cutlass.
Wow. I wouldn't give you 2500 if it had 10k miles. Those things are junk new. Plastic fantastic interior etc. Make a Jeep CJ look stable in a tight turn. 25,000!!🥴🤣
Step away from the pipe.

I concur. Buddy bought one in 85. We went bear hunting, he closed the door with his hip and it dented. Then we hit a rock, cracked the rear differential. That was it for him, went back to Toyota’s.
Extra doors or no, that 66 Supreme Holiday Sedan is sharp! I would be seen in it! 😎
What's the story on 68 Hurst? Real or tribute?
Hoping plague is controlled by spring so we'll feel more comfortable going. I haven't found much for the cars in years, but give me a pile of old tools to root thru and I am quite happy! S-K taper sockets and anything Wizard are treasure indeed!
As I embark on falling asleep here at the Carlisle fairgrounds on this Saturday night ---
let me say that -- I F -- you missed this Fall Calisle 2021, sadly, you missed a GREAT one....
The weather was absolutely perfect for these past five (5) days --- Tuesday through Saturday,
and is even going to beautiful Sunday until 9:00 P.M. --- plenty of time for the vendors who are still here (less than 10 % --- DO NOT bother to come here Sunday !!!) to pack before the onslaught of precipitation.... It was short sleeve weather every day, perfect sleeping weather at night...
We really couldn't ask for anything more... only complaint... a lot of morning dew on the canopies...
(I shook it out before I untarped, I didn't want it to go down anyone's back and neck !!!)
We missed the international crowd --- a few Canadians made it across the border, and Tomas from Sweden, the Pontiac vendor, was the ONLY European on the grounds....
I hope all who made it had a glorious time... I had many Oldsmobile people at my booth --- and I sold 18 N.O.S. DELCO U.S.A. Black Distributor Caps with Copper Contacts !!! (Our illustrious leader Joe P. Scooped up two (2) of those 18.... He and Warren had NO ISSUES getting here ... and I hope they had a safe return....)
HERSHEY --- dress accordingly --- a lot of it is going to be moist....If you are to make the trek--- and it --- I S --- worthwhile, I am in the RED Field , at R C C 74 - 76, between Chocolate World and the old
Hershey Stadium..... See some of you there, Yours, Craig.....

It is not "Funny" that you don't feel that you didn’t miss anything,
It is actually "SAD" that you didn't partake of the
Camaraderie, Friendship, Conversation, Great Parts available, Cars to look at and admire,
6 days of Tremendous Weather, Being part of the Antique and Classic car scene, being at a
Great Automotive Swap Meet, and regaining your sanity and enjoying reality.....
ALL of us who have been here at Fall Carlisle are enriched for the experience...
Carlisle was great this year. Great weather and a lot to see. I found a few things. I have several pre 30's cars and Hershey is the place to find stuff for them. I got to meet Joe and Craig and that was nice.
Went Friday, glorious weather! Didn't need much, but I go anyway. I did buy a new windshield for my 56 project, from Auto City Glass. Just hope it's strong enough to cut!
I'll be at Hershey Friday, hoping to land a decent Delco radio for my 79 Hurst, AM/FM cassette but I will take 8 track and/or CB. Also, for my 69 Camaro, should a freshly rebuilt 327 or 350 make itself available.............

Hershey is mostly 1950s-older stuff. The 1960s parts are just now starting to show up. You occasionally find people with a newer part or two stuck in among the older stuff, but they are few and far between.

I'm done with the overpriced junk as well as the, well, junk. Last time I went, half the vendors had no reason to even be there (even if a bunch of guys brought their women). My friend, Dave, and I would walk around. Our running joke was "Hey, I have 3 of those. Holy crap! We're millionaires!" I had ONE trip, about 20 years ago, where I actually found things I needed for reasonable prices. It's a waste of time and gas for me, anymore. I'm only an hour away, too.
I would like to check Hershey out one year, mainly just to see the brass.
I’m only a 1/2 hour away and we’re going from now on. My wife and I had a great time Friday. Friendly people, cool cars, something neat to see every 10ft. Great entertainment for a sunny afternoon.
So nice getting out around people after the last 2 years.
Rick / WhipOlds has the right idea !!!
and all those who chimed in about how GREAT it truly was.....
Is it perfection ?? NO... in a perfect world for Oldsmobile people, all Oldsmobile vendors would be in one (1) aisle, nice and convenient..... But, unfortunately, you must pass by 382 cheapie tool people, selling cheapie Chineseum tools, and yes, you are going to buzz past 104 different wax and wash booths... I get that.....
But, seven absolutely perfect weather days at Carlisle !!! I wouldn't be anywhere else !!!
Hopefully, HERSHEY will be close to a repeat of Heaven on Earth ..... Especially after being cancelled in 2020 for the first (and hopefully, ONLY time EVER !!!)
See ya' at HERSHEY, RED Field, R C C 74 - 76, between Chocolate World and the old HERSHEY ♥
stadium..... yours, Craig.....
