Carlisle

Just got home from Carlisle. Glad I went when I did.All day Thursday. A little rainy in the morning but, when the sun came out it wasn't bad except for the mud. Got eveything that I needed to finish my car. And some stuff for another friend of mine. My wife and I left for home this morning around 9am. The hotel where we were staying is off of turnpike exit 236. When we were heading home going west. 2 miles from the Carlisle exit(226). Traffic was backed up that far on the berm and the right lane. I bet it would take at least 1 1/2 hours to get to the fairgrounds from there. I guess retirement isn't so bad after all So now I am home getting ready to get dirty.

I went on Saturday! Not very crowded. I went all the way down and back without any holdups in the construction areas. Thank God the good old public servants don't work on Saturdays. Weather was beautiful! I hope that these fans never figure out that you can get off 81 at Mechanicsburg and go in the back way! Here's my pix! Enjoy!

I was there Fri/Sat (thus the limited number of posts over the weekend). Sales were good for me, but naturally I spent more than I took in. Did get a one-piece floor pan for the 66 convertible for $400. Now I need to sell the individual floor pans and under-back-seat pan that I had bought previously...

Also got a Delco rebuilt CS130 alternator for $35, as well as bunches of tools and a set of tires for one of the daily drivers.
