Well, looks like some Ethiopian engineering is in order. You fill weld, drill and tap. Sleeve it and just use a nut, bolt, and washer...etc. Or buy another core and swap cases. Then again you can circumvent all the headaches and just get another one.
it is off a 69 442, so it is the open face 37amp alt. I want to save it, and reuse it, as these are hard to find today, and it is an original dated, stamped, alt.

Ken does excellent work and I recomend him highly. However, the repaired end frame looks to be a replacement and not the same one. So this makes me wonder if it was repaired or replaced. The fan is different too. I think the original fan is the correct one if it is for a 65. Take a look at the upper edge of the casting. It is different. In any case it is a fantastic job done by Ken Bruno.
