Cam identification
Can anyone ID this cam for me?
All I have is the cam card - no brand name no nothing. I have been told it is very close to a W-31 cam spec.
Here are the numbers:
SAE Duration
INT .329 EXH .329
Duration at .050
INT .232 Exh .232
Valve lift
INT .474 Exh .474
Cam lift
Int .296 Exh .296
Lash
Int HYD Exh HYD
Lobe Ctrs
Int 107 Exh 119
I have nothing else to help me out. The numbers seem close to a W-31 cam but I confess I know very little about cams. Anyone that can help me with info on what I have here would be much appreciated!!
Thx all.

This is the spec right out of the 1970 service manual, but it would take some deciphering to compare it. But from what I have read that cam is very close, although the advertised duration seems a tad on the long side.

Thanks!
As I browse the net I have found a Comp Cams Olds cam that is very close also...they call it the modern reproduction of muscle car era cam. 325 hp / 350 Cu in.
You think I will have an issue with vacuum brakes?
I did notice I only have about 10 in of vacuum at idle....

10 is pretty low for brakes if you could advance the timing closet to 15 the brakes would be ok...that duration is more in line with w30 the w31 had advertised 308...you could get a vacation tank for your brakes if you have to that is a pretty neat old style cam and good back in the for nhra rules
