A/C and tinted glass? 1970
In 1970 was it mandatory without exception that a 70 A/C car had soft ray glass? I thought it was but I was looking at a car tonight that was an A/C car and did not have soft ray. I assumed that the glass had been replaced but the the owner "claims" it is original glass. It was a 70 Cutlass Pace Car.
I always thought so, too, in all the Divisions.
I have seen it in GM printed materials in the past, but can't point to it right now.
I guess there's always the exception - the only question I would have would be "Why?!?"

I hadn't heard that one before.
Just took a look at the 70 Rallye 350 order form I have and there is no mention of C60 requiring A01 or A02. There are other required/not-available mentions between options listed...

Actually the 1970 SPECS shows AC (rpo C60) and soft ray glass (rpo A01) as completely separate options. C60 does NOT automatically include A01 by default, or it would say that in the C60 rpo. Such as AS4 requires AK1. Also similar to exclusions: Such as U21 excludes T81 and vice versa. Also see the W45 package that shows all the automatically included rpos.
