Bypassing the voltage regulator

We can post lots of links. Perhaps you can be a little more specific. I'm not sure what you mean by "Bypassing the voltage regulator". Are you trying to swap an internal regulator for an external one? The mind reading thing still isn't working.

Lhh!!! I'm trying to use a alt with an internal, but my car came with a external!!!

What year olds do you have? The brown wire from the alt light goes to the 4 wire voltage regulator plug. Reuse the red wires on the alternator. You can buy a new plug for the internal that has a wire attached to the new plug and attach it to the red post. Unplug the old 4 wire plug and extend the brown wire to the remaining wire from the plug.
It's been a while, this is a ball park explanation.
