I am right in the middle of my winter restore on the 1969 convertible. I have front clip removed engine and tranny out, seats and door pnls out,not alot wrong with the car just alot of little fixin. Now the bad part I tore up my sholder at work I have been off work 6 weeks and now sugery dont have that date yet but alot to do if I am going to get to drive it this summer.

Good luck on the surgury, and don't rush the recovery - the car can wait!!

What rickman said...ditto. I know its tough to just "look" at your car and not be able to work on it.

You've only got two shoulders, the car will allways be there. May I suggest you plan all your work by putting pen to paper. Perhaps, do all your parts searching and gathering now. Best of luck to you.

My Princess fell at work and tore her rotator cuff... I can say this, get the surgery as soon as possible. It'll be several weeks of recovery and physical therapy.

 

Sorry to hear about the bad news, but the good thing is that it can just wait until you are ready to continue work. Accidents happen, so focus on getting yourself fixed up and do everything the dr orders. You will recover faster and be able to work on the car once you have healed. I wish you the best in the surgery!

 

I feel for you. I had my rotator cuff repaired about 4 years ago. Could not do much with it before the surgery, could not do anything for almost 6 months after. Even was paranoid the first time I was tightening down on a nut after the physical therapy. Hang in there and get it done as soon as possible so you can get back to your projects. Hope you're better soon.
