Bucket seat question

Will bucket seats from a 69 camaro work in a cutlass? I know other A bodies work but not sure about camaro seats, are they different? I know that they would have to be recovered but I have to do the interior anyway.
Going into a 71 cutlass convertible
Thanks Larry

F-body buckets use completely different frames than A-body buckets.

When you find some check under them to make sure the frames not rusted out. I saw a set on craigslist in St. Louis for 400.00. In Perryville Mo. Covers did not match 70-72. may be Pontiac but he claims they will work on his add. Price is too high IMO. https://stlouis.craigslist.org/pts/5795116723.html

What ever I get I will check over good. I saw the ad and they were close and reasonably priced $300. No pics though in the ad. Truthfully I need to spend my money elsewhere. Rusty quarters and trunk in a convertible surprise surprise

Keep the total price in mind, not just the price of the cores. If you need to purchase new foams, new upholstery, new plastic backs and trim, new headrests, etc, etc, you rapidly get to the $2400 it costs for completely assembled repro buckets.

I realize that but if I can find cores now for a good price, I will have them when I start on the interior in a few years. I am sure that they will not get much cheaper between now and then.

OPGI offers brand new fully assembled seats with headrests for 580.00. Black, white and gray vinyl. Just have to buy the brackets to mount. Here's a link to their Lowback seats made by SCAT with headrests and also a link for the Rally below. And they come without headrests and they also offer Rally bucket seats which are 749.00.

Of course, those are generic aftermarket seats, not repros of the originals. All depends on what you want.

That's why I posted them bc he was trying to put Camaro seats into a Cutlass so I figured he wasn't trying to find originals

No, he was asking if Camaro buckets were the same as A-body buckets.

Yea I know. That's what I read bc he was thinking of putting then into his Cutlass from my understanding. His first question was will they fit into his Cutlass

I was seeing if the seats were the same. If I am going to do it I want correct seats. I saw those seats listed but he is in LA and doesn't want to ship them right now and I am in MD not right around the corner. Thanks though.

They seem to be few and far between

I had to drive to Kansas City Mo to get mine. On St. Louis craigslist there is a pair for 400.00 but need recovered. Add shipping and ouch. Most are shot or only good for the frame. Almost seems like buying repop parts a little at a time till you end up with all new seats is an option.
