The coment on stefano's w-31 was steam clean it detail it and lots of Bosheild just trying to know what it would be sprayed on . Looking at a car of similar condition as what that w-31 is in unrestored and needing some detail work . maybe a better one would be what would you do to clean up a original unrestored numbers matching car
to look better but not take away form the stockness ?

Boeshield is a light oil that works as a corrosion inhibitor by leaving a paraffin wax like coating after the solvents dissipate. Great for protecting cables, bare metal, and plating.
Since the W-31 was unrestored all of the metal was real bare metal and not painted to look like it. So after the power wash/ steam cleaning all bare metal would flash rust very quickly.
A good product for de-rusting orginal bare metal components is Evapo-Rust. This will not effect original finishes like bead blasting can. The only draw back is that the part will need to be removed so it can soak in the solution for a couple hours on a warm day.
I hope this helps
