Big Rat is Back

Yeah, I know many say he gotta go, but look how cute he be, LOL. It is not like a squirrel that will ruin your house or something. I am actually more worried about hornet nests (groggy or not), as well as mice and stuff in the car.

Once I can figure a way to move the car back over to the asphalt (I already stupidly ruined the rear bumper and rear part of frame moving it around), the big rat can live under the shed for all I care. Then I can pull the car apart, and start cleaning stuff and putting on my waiting frame.

If you keep feeding it carrots it will never go away. Them are the critters that make the chuckholes in the roads, called woodchucks around here. The local Farmers shoot the things and encourage anybody else to come on over and shoot the varmint marmots too, same with crows.
I did a job a long time ago and they had one of those things simmering in a big pot on the stove, they kept skimming off tons of fat, nastiest thing I ever smelled, worse than Indian food.
Must be good soul food I guess?

If you like whistle-pigs, I'll send you every one I can find. They're a pest and as Jamesbo said can do unbelievable damage to your property. For whatever reason, they like to den underneath buildings and then try and dig the foundation out from under it.

I keep a humane trap set and baited for them all the time. When I catch one, either me or the neighbor wastes and disposes of it. The neighbor sez "if my groundhog-killin' gun ain't loaded, it can be in just a minute..."

One of the guys in my office shot 23 on his property last year.

Yup. Nothin' but a pest. There used to be a bounty on them here till the county started tightening its belt. Now no bounty on these varmints or coyotes, so I guess the coyotes will overrun us next.

Keep on feeding it carrots. You may find it rummaging thru your kitchen cabinets.

Shoot the sucker, it will undermine your shed and make a filthy/smelly mess. Adults can fend off medium size dogs and do them harm in a fight.

Our neighbor has one living under his shed! He is a big sucker too!! I haven't seen him out yet this spring. I don't like him! We have a strawberry patch not to far from the neighbor's shed.... don't know if they like strawberries or not. The grubs/snails sure do, though!!

That looks like a muskrat to me. There's a skunk living under my shed. Wanna trade?

He looks perfectly innocent to me. Haven't heard the term whistle pig for a long time. We don't have many of them here. But moles thats another thing. I spend a good deal of time trying to trap those damn things.

I'm a chip & dale murderer. Them dang things love tunneling under the concrete and the pink foundation foam. Kill about 12-15 a year. The muskrat that wanders up and down the river I could care less about killing. He eats the neighbors dam dandelions so they don't go to seed and blow over here!

I've heard the phrase "one mans trash is another man's treasure"

How about "one mans pest is another mans pet"

I've always had families of woodchucks in my back yard, I like them. I also have rabbits, skunks, opossems and lots of squirrels.

Looks like he is saying his prayers. You might as well give him a reason to pray. Boom no more problem.
