Uh, what appliance is named "Cutlass"?

Personally, I prefer to think it's named after the Chance Vought fighter plane:

I always thought Cutlass was named after a sword.

We had a discussion on this last year IIRC. The overwhelming consensus was it was named as Joe said. The theme of the Rocket power and military association with the experimental jet f85 Goblin + the F7U Cutlass jet. Olds was looking to the FUTURE, not the past as would be the case with the sword....
