Ballpark value of an engine I need to sell

I have an Olds big block I need to sell.
I realize what I am about to post is too limited for any certainties. But prefer to keep it in the Olds family as this thread has been helpful to me through the yrs.
I think it’s a BB from 70-72. I got it 20 yrs ago and seems to me there is a way to identity that? I had it checked to insure there were no cracks and it was wrapped in cellophane and has sat on a cradle thereafter.
I see the heads are G.
There is a crank, an intake, and I think value covers.
I recently had my 3rd back surgery and I can’t lift much of anything.
If we assume it’s all good, is it desirable? And for what ballpark price or is this simply not enough info to say?
And if (and when) I get some help to move it, what specifically should I look for number wise

so someone on this thread might want to travel south to Mississippi and get it?
I’ll feed a good supper to boot!

The heads are GA, which is 72.

$500-$1000 if the crank is good

The numbers on the block and intake can be seen from the top side, no moving needed.

The two numbers you need are the block casting number, which will tell you the displacement, and the VIN derivative stamp, which will tell you the model year.

Block casting number is here.

VIN derivative is here. The second digit is the model year (in this example, the "2" in the second position signifies the 1972 model year ).

And sorry, but a disassembled engine that hasn't been run in 20 years isn't going to bring $1000. A buyer will assume it needs a complete rebuild, $200-$500 is a more realistic range.

I got to agree with Joe P on this one. And the 1972 engines have soap dish pistons.

Would be delighted to get 350. Will check the numbers when I can bend down far enough.
I have a lot of Olds parts I’ll never use that I need to inventory, photo and see if the “bundle” will bring a OCA member
south..

Sport steering wheel tan center cap, center caps, (4) 15” SSIII, new door handles and much more..
