Has anyone recently installed a backup camera to their classic Olds? I have a 62 Dynamic 88 and a rear camera would be a blessing. Suggestions?

 

DOES your car have reverse lights ? If so just run the power wire from the camera to one of the reverse light power wires. easy peasy. running the wires from the camera to the back of car is the hardest problem.. If no reverse lights, you will need to get into ur neutral safety switch to supply power to it when in reverse or run a power wire to a switch so you can turn it on or off when needed ???.

Get you a wireless carplay. It has a backup camera and tons of other features you find in a late model car. They are about 45 bucks on Amazon. I put one in my 75 Hurst and my wife's 95 Cutlass. Well worth the money.

 

Does a '62 even have an NSS?

 

That's a great question.I was only 3 yrs old when these cars where new. I would think they needed something to prevent them from starting in gear..somebody knows this I am sure..
