b piller??

hey i noticed looking at a ton of pics of cutlass's i have a b pillar that the back window rests on and i see none in these pics were they removed or is mine just retarted??

Yes, yours is retarded. It's called a "Sports Coupe" (when made by Olds) or a "post coupe."

The non-retarded cars are called "Holiday Coupes" (when made by Olds) or "hardtop coupes."

The "hardtop" design was introduced in the early 1950s as a major stylistic innovation over the traditional "post" designs, and continued as a higher-cost option (though some lines dropped the post design entirely) through the mid-seventies, when the basic facts of improved function and durability consigned the hardtop design, for the most part, to the history books.

thanks for the info. im not to keen on my GM,s its my first build. i normaly just deal with fords

My condolences.

Fords were the same though - post or hardtop.
For instance, LTDs were hardtops in the '60s, base Galaxies were posts.
