Autotrader 1983

I know y'all like pictures so I thought I'd post these.

Was going thru some boxes today after the move to the new house and found the autotrader I bought in 1983. I was looking for my first car, but at 19 my budget was under 1k with insurance, and I remember even these cars being too expensive for me back then. Finally did find a good 1972 supreme on a local car lot for 500.00 though. I liked to look.
Those were the days eh

Oh yeah....I live in Canada, so its the canadian autotrader.

I have one from 1986. That was when they posted ads in random order - quite annoying.

I enjoy the nostalgia that comes with these older prints. Its a fun trip to go back...for just a minute.

I actually cut the little ad out of the Trader when I bought my first 65 cutlass back in 1988 and kept it with the rest of my paperwork. My best friend and I would scour the Trader every week oer coffee.

Your pics brought me right back.

I used to buy this paper every week too. They had a sold section at the back that let you know what last months cars sold for.

Good stuff, Scotty. What date was this one from? Reason I ask is, I swear I looked at that '57 back in about 1991 or so. It belonged to a Japanese guy in Richmond. It wasn't as nice as it looked, though.

I used to go to Florida on a yearly trip around Easter. Their Autotrader had all the Florida cars for sale and it was just awesome compared to what was available in Chicago. Now, the internet is the thing. Not so interesting. Lots more info, but not as fun.

I purchased a 67 442-W30 from an individual in Brownsville, Texas who placed an ad in the Auto Trader in the late 80's... Price I paid for the 67-W30 back then was only $2750.00....

I could have bought a 69 HO in 83 for 2500.00 might as well have been 1 million.
