anyone recommend a dwell/tach unit

anyone recommend a dwell/tach unit

i have been reading reviews on dwell/ tach units and every time i find one i think I'm going to buy i read the reviews an someone will say it don't read accurate. whats a good unit that won't set me back a bundle?

Any old unit you can find at a yard sale or flea market - usually anywhere from $2 to $5.
I would never pay any more, as they're everywhere.

I have one that is digital and one with a needle. I always use the one with the needle. I think it was made in the sixties.

I had an old Craftsman unit for about 40 years now. It's always worked fine.

Interesting on the Craftsman unit. I have had one for about 30-35 years and I still have the box although the box is getting pretty worn. The unit still works great.

I've got a Craftsman one that I've had for at least 30 years, but I've also got a couple of other Craftsman ones, and a Snap-On one, and a Brand-X one from the sixties, and a few others, but is seems like that first Craftsman one is the one I always use.

x2 and add thrift stores to the list. My craftsman is all I ever use or wanted. I bet they are cheap on ebay too... maybe.
