Anyone in Oklahoma remember this car?
Hey everyone, I've been thinking about my car's origin and past lately. Not that it matters too much, but would be interesting to know any history of her.
So I got to thinking...
She was last plated + legally on the road I would assume in 1993 in Oklahoma. I can only assume that it would have been somewhere around or near Oklahoma City, as her last resting place was at Hudson's auto salvage just east of Harrah Ok on hwy 62.
I have spoke to a lady at Hudson's, and she could only remember that it belonged to a school teacher prior to them getting it.
It had Oklahoma plates on it and they are what I would think are "personalized" plates since the lack of digits.
They have "ZPW" in it which I would think would/could have been the owner's initials.
Here is how she looked when taken from the wrecking yard...
Here is the plate that was on it still when I got it...
As you can see, she was painted entirely a very sad sun burnt orange color I would call it. Original color was saffron with the lower body silver.
I also believe that she had possibly a C***y or some other brand of engine in her last since it had very odd NON OLDS mounts in it welded to the frame.
I guess I am just hoping that someone remembers a teacher with these initials, or remembers the car or plates.
Thanks Duane
