Anyone need a good laugh?

I stumbled across this and the farther into the pictures I got, the more I laughed. Enjoy.

Ya know...... if you're trying to do a restoration, look at some pictures. Ordering ALL the emblems/stickers out of the catalog section isn't necessary.
It was almost a decent looking car. Know when to say when.

I like the dual gate/console and then you see the column shift speedo!

This car ran before at the same auction. It did not sell. The auction is owned by Mike Leith who owns various car dealerships in N.C. Mike and another owner of dealerships (the Boyd family) own most of the cars to be auctioned. The backdrop in the picture is consistent the Boyd or Leith farms near where they are stored between auctions. These cars are bought over the internet or at another auctions during the year and marked up for later sale at the Raleigh Classic Auction. The auctioneer will usually say something like, "And here we have a 70 W30 442 Oldsmobile, offered from the personal collection of Mr. Mike Leith." And I my recollection is that the words, “Perfect in every way” are often spoken during the introduction of cars to the block.

Some of the most prolific buyers at this auction are from Florida classic car dealers. They are bought here, marked up and resold from their Florida showrooms.

More of the same auction inventory that is even more difficult to digest:

The matching interior raises the issue of what is the mindset of a person that would create this vehicle.

If I'm not mistaken, there seems to be some inconsistency between the AC under the hood and the controls on the dash

It’s all in your definition of a good car.

Car itself looks good enough but the work is slipshod. IE 70 body with 71/2 clip, Dual/Gate with column shift speedometer, and those are just two of the more glaring things.

Obviously built by someone who knows nothing about Oldsmobiles but hopes to get top dollar at auction.

I like the concept, just not the end result.
