Talking Anyone from or near Nanuet NY

i am asking for some help! There is a 2011 GMC 3500HD Crewcab 4x4 Diesel for sale @ Grand Prize Chevy, Buick, Gmc stock number s633n. It is dark blue exterior black interior. I was wondering if anybody can do an inspection for me to see what condition the truck is in? I am seriously thinking about buying it.

No, I'm guessing it has more to do with not knowing where the hell Nanuet, New York is.

We're not all intimately familiar with New York geography, and it might help if you mention that this is in suburban New York City. There are lots of members on here from that area.

I have bought many cars sight unseen online... my suggestions...

Get as many pix as possible, get a Carfax report, call the previous owner... do your homework. If it sounds like a good vehicle take a ride or hop on a plane...

Yes i did get a Carfax report and it came back with a accident under a $1000 bucks. The truck is at a GM Dealer and the truck has been GM certifed. The dealer did tell me that the truck has a minor scuff where it had hit something. Weird thing is the dealer cant get a picture of the scuff, one excuse after another. So im going to adjust my price to reflect a repaint on the right rear wheel house. Thanks for your input.

what's so special about this truck that you can't find something much closer that you can look at yourself ?

I'd trust a dealer even less than a private seller w/o seeing it, even if it is certified.

Just a note about CarFax. My new at the time Dodge pickup was hit and sustained 17,000 in repairs..It does not show up on CarFax.

Yea CarFax isn't 100% reliable.

I had a Dakota I bought used (private owner) where the 1st thing I did was take it to the local Dodge dealer for a ball joint recall.

Come to find out a couple of years later when I went to resell it .....

Somehow an entry ended up on CarFax ... that the dealer had the truck in inventory & SOLD it.
(my 2 owner truck now looked like a 3+ owner)

Even with the potential issue w/CarFax ...

I still prefer to have one of them AND an AutoCheck vs having nothing if possible.

Sometimes they actually are accurate & would make you look at something a lil' bit closer that may have seemed fine w/o that knowledge.
