Hey guys can someone with a Hollander or whatever they're called let me know if 55 hood hinges will work for 56? And I am assuming 88 S88 and 98 all interchange? Thanks! Have some tired hinges thinking about buying a set on eBay and having them rebuilt.

 

The 1963 Oldsmobile Master Parts Catalog says that all 1954 thru 1956 hood hinges are the same part number.
564772 for right hand and 564773 for left hand .

Hey Charlie, can you tell if the engine compartment braces that go from the firewall to the front of the fenders are the same for all models in 56 and possibly the same for 55? Thanks!

 

My illustrations only go back to 1958 , so I can't get a group number for the braces.
You might try contacting Ozzie as he has an older parts book and may be able to answer this question.
