That's the question. Does anybody know of an auto transport company in the Pacific Northwest that you'd recommend?

Speaking of auto transport, I am also looking for a reputable shipper to get my new 62 wagon from San Jose to the DC area. As was my experience three years ago, all these shippers over promise and under deliver.

Based on my previous experience, I listed on uship.com. Got bids that were not great, but not unexpected. I contracted with one shipper, paid the deposit immediately, and waited. And waited. And waited.....

After a month, the shipper finally admitted that he couldn't get a truck lined up, so I cancelled. I then called a shipper who had been recently used by someone I know. I told him I was tired of the B.S. and that I wanted someone who I could depend on. That shipper offered me a very attractive price and said he could have the car picked up in a week. Great, where do I send the money?

Two weeks later, this shipper calls back and sheepishly admitted he couldn't get a truck lined up.

The seller has been very understanding and is storing the car for free, but I'm really getting tired of this. Anyone who knows a real, no B.S. shipper willing to move this car for under $1500, please let me know.

Joe, at the M-B dealer I work for we use a service called Central Dispatch. I looked on their site for shipping by an individual and C.D. refers to a site called MoveCars.com.

Never used 'em, so can't recommend, but you might want to look into them

I used United Road Ca. they are in Fontana, Ca. I talked to Dan, he was great and came through for me just as he said he would. This was after going through hell with another company who kept pushing me to the back of the line. I think they go all over the USA. The car arrived when they said it would the truck driver helped me load it on my trailer.
Again they were great!
